Sept 2: Day 1 of my fast, day 919 of our chain.
I haven’t been very active on Facebook for a while. Even though the abstinence from Facebook felt good, the abstinence from food for this fasting chain is a perfect reason to be back. Having read Nazi Billionaires by David de Jong recently, I am reminded of how the greed, opportunism, and denial of industrialists can support fascist regimes, even if they don’t always agree with the regime’s overall goals. The same is happening in India, where industrialists can profit immensely from being cozy with Modi, Shah & Co. I hope that one day, this coziness will become a liability rather than an opportunity.
