Oct 2: Day 1 of my fast, day 949 of our chain.

Lot of well meaning people become activists like I did when we see a cause that hurts us to our core.

However, to jump in to raise your voice for a cause is just not enough. Activism like any other field needs to be learnt and get training in but even more important is, it can never be achieved with ego controlling oneself.

We learn that what is wrong is wrong no matter who did/said it and what is right is right no matter who did/said it.

We have seen lot of Indian muslims have started considering themselves as flag bearer of secularity and democracy in… India. A whole lot of non muslim activists also, consider the poor, brave Indian Muslims as the ones fighting for secularity in India and criticise Hinduism and Hindi – two aspects of the Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan call by RSS.

This is a big fallacy.

Why is Hindi a terrible language? Why are you taking away respect from Hindi that it deserves? What is the basis? It is a language, and deserves respect. Period.

Urdu came in to existence as a mixed bag of different languages so why is it more respectable than Hindi? This is stupid comparison and we don’t need to shun Hindi in order to respect Urdu.

Hindu… how is Hinduism any lesser than Islam? Religions are full of contradicting information and opinions. All religions are created to… well… let’s not even go there and so, calling Islam and Muslims better than Hinduism and Hindus is wrong.

I have been reading different activist ‘organisations’ talk about extremeties by Modi govt on Muslims, Dalits, Christians and this and those people and examples of Siddique Kappan and all other muslims in jails are given at drop of a hat. If non muslims examples are at all given they are of slain or detained high profile activists like Gautam Navlakha and Sudha Bhardwaj etc.

What about upper caste Hindus who have suffered the same amount but were as ordinary as Siddique Kappan etc? RADIO SILENCE about them. Why?

OVERCORRECTION.

Natasha Narwal, Devangana Kalita… (care to add more names that I am not writing here?) Want to test yourself if you are actually someone who is fighting for the right cause? It’s not about Indian Muslims alone you see… it is about fascism. Anyone who is a victim of fascism should be remembered… not just of the ‘oppressed community’ but also those who are fighting for them!

I do ask Indian Muslim ‘activists’ and they cannot name the Pinjra Tod activist girls.

Sad Siddique Kappan couldn’t visit his dying mother? Ever take name of Natasha Narwal in the same breath who did not have a mother and when her father fell ill and was dying, she was denied bail and was only allowed to go and cremate her father after he died. I have never heard anyone talk about ordinary hindu activists who faced brutal suppression just like our Muslim brethren. Care to think why?

Activism and drama are two very different things. True contribution to any act is when you can actually contribute to it the way it NEEDS contribution.

When you say sab yaad rakha jayega… actually try to broaden your vision and do remember EVERYTHING. Don’t go into overcorrection.

Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan does not individually become ugly just because it is the call of the RSS. RSS actually have nothing to do with Hindi, Hindu, Hindustan.

Our Hindi, our Urdu, Our Hindu, Our Muslims, our Hindustan, Our Bharat is all one… what we want. And we will not get it by axing one to save another.

Vijayendra Kadalabal: Oct 1, 2022

Oct 1: Day 1 of my fast, day 948 of our chain.

I spend the day praying for all the human rights defenders in India who have been penalised because of their stand. The nation drops in every human development index you can think about but our news media is busy in reproducing the infamous Rwanda Radio methodology to pitch communities against each other.

The young people of the country are busy trolling anyone and everyone who does not ally with their thoughts, yet somehow made to believe they are “building their nation”. We have successfully managed to put deep hatred for our top most educational institutions and replaced them with WhatsApp University.

Yes, I am being optimistic.

May this month and the coming few years be that of peaceful introspection of what we have become as a country, community, individual. Hate is a lucrative business. Love takes more time, effort and patience. I choose the Gandhian principle of non violence resistance to put forth my thoughts.

May we reimagine the path that each of us have been led onto. Let our critical thinking ability question each of these paths. May our humanism return. 🙏

Sept 29: Day 1 of my fast, day 946 of our chain.

It is a busy time for me at work, and just while I think I’ve found my groove, there is an aging relative who needs urgent help, and at the end of hard days like this, I feel small and useless against the wheels of time…

Moods like this are fertile grounds for poetry, and this is what mine produced today (I call it ‘Compass’):

My fear of disagreement, my need to be liked,
My need to look good, my dread of a slight,
What if no one cared for me, insignificant as a mite,
What if I lost all I had to those who could delight?
Distracted by compulsions, I can’t see the light
I do what is easy because I can’t tell what is right.

But then I remember, the little child I used to be ,
Unafraid and unfettered, I couldn’t tell you from me,
Unschooled and unknowing, bundle of curiosity,
Unhindered by made-up rules, the child was born free,
That child is my compass, whose clear eyes can see,
Beyond the decadence of time and age, truth waits patiently.

Sept 27: Today, I fast in collaboration with Hindus For Human Rights (HfHR) to protest against the detention and subsequent interference of the Gujarat government with the peacefully planned padyatra dedicated to Bilkis Bano:

Sandeep Pandey and his fellow activists planned a march that would have started on Monday, Sept 26, in Randhikpur, Dahod, and continued until Oct 4, in Ahmedabad. The march, organized under the banner of the Hindu-Muslim Ekta Samiti (Hindu-Muslim Unity Group) simply expressed an apology to Bilkis Bano, a victim of genocidal gangrape during the 2002 Gujarat Pogrom, who suffered perhaps the greatest travesty of justice imaginable: 11 convicts who were her rapists and the murderers of her family members (including her then 3-year old daughter), were released “to celebrate” the 75th anniversary of Indian independence.

Sandeep Pandey’s march would have been a source of healing in a society marred by sectarian violence, a beacon of basic decency that one fears is fast evaporating from Indian society, and a peaceful assertion of humanity in the face of tyranny. But this was not to be. Sandeep and his companions were detained, and reports indicate that they have now been released. Their march is prohibited from passing Godhra, the one place that would have benefitted the most from such a conciliatory gesture for its victims. The march may now proceed from Sevalia towards Ahmedabad, defeating its primary intent by excluding the area (enclosed by a rectangle in the accompanying map) to which it was most relevant.

At the end of the day, this seems to be the balance of power in the sorry state of Gujarat:

  1. Freedom is reserved for rapists and murderers, as long as they are caste-privileged Hindus,
  2. There is no freedom or humanity for Muslim victims, nor is there freedom for others to speak up for them,
  3. The tyranny of the majority is the final rule, and no measure is too extreme to quash those who oppose it.

I, a daughter of Gujarat, defy this outrageous status quo. And urge you to do the same.

Amit Dhawan: Sept 26 – Sept 28, 2022

Sept 26: Day 1 of my fast, day 943 of our chain.

“बिलकिस बानों हमें माफ करो” का पोस्टर छाती में लटकाए लगाए हवाई चप्पल और खादी के कुर्ता पायजामा में गोधरा में पदयात्रा कर रहें ये संदीप पांडेय जी हैं. उन्हें पुलिस ने गुजरात में गिरफ्तार कर लिया था,अब फिर निकल पड़े हैं बिलकिस की आवाज बुलंद करने,उनके दोषियों के रिहाई के विरोध में.सर से विनायक सेन की गिरफ्तारी के दिनों में छत्तीसगढ़ में मुलाकात हुई थी.जब वे अनशन पर बैठ गए थे रमन सरकार के खिलाफ. बाद में मेरे पते पर सर लखनऊ से डाक से लेख भेजते रहें.वे स्कूल चलाते थे,मोबाइल नहीँ रखते हैं.2002 का रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार उन्हें मिला है.मैं उनसे बेहद प्रभावित हुआ और आज तक उनके लिए मेरे मन में बेहद इज्जत है.जब भी वे कोई अन्याय देखते हैं इसी तरह जमीन पर नजर आते हैं.ये आज के गांधी ही हैं.उनके बारे में एक लेख न्याय करता हुआ अजीत साही जी ने लिखा है पढ़िए.
अपने असली हीरो को पहचानिए.

ये हैं संदीप पांडे.

संदीप भाई उसी उम्र के हैं जिस उम्र के शाहरुख़ ख़ान, सलमान ख़ान, आमिर ख़ान हैं.

लेकिन संदीप भाई बाल नहीं रंगते. संदीप भाई बोटोक्स के इंजेक्शन नहीं लगाते.

संदीप भाई आईआईटी बीएचयू से पढ़े इंजीनियर हैं. उन्होंने अमेरिका की जानीमानी यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ़ बर्कले से अप्लाइढ फ़िज़िक्स में पीएचडी की है. उन्होंने विज्ञान की किताबें लिखी हैं. उनकी रिसर्च की लोग आज भी दाद देते हैं. वो चाहते तो अमेरिका में रह कर आज बड़ी से बड़ी नौकरी कर रहे होते और करोड़ों डॉलर हर साल कमा रहे होते.

लेकिन पच्चीस साल पहले संदीप भाई ने अमेरिका त्याग दिया. खादी पहनाना शुरू किया और भारत लौट कर गाँव गाँव जाकर समाज सेवा का काम शुरू किया. संदीप भाई को मैंने तीन साल पहले अमेरिकी संसद में भाषण देने बुलाया था. जब एयरपोर्ट पर लेने पहुँचा तो वो हवाई चप्पल और खादी का कुर्ता-पायजामा पहन कर ही अमेरिका आए. और उसी लिबास में अमेरिका की संसद में तक़रीर की.

कल गुजरात के गोधरा में पुलिस ने उनको हिरासत में ले लिया. लेकिन वो निडर हैं. वो गोधरा गए हैं बिल्किस बानो के समर्थन में पदयात्रा करने.

अपने असली हीरो पहचानिए.

★★ LIC के शेयर के भाव 629₹ है..लिस्टिंग के भाव से लगभग 35% टूट चुका है..LIC की 6 लाख करोड़ की क़ीमत/वैल्यूएशन अब केवल 4 लाख करोड़ बची है..52 week low.

👉 LIC की क़ीमत/वैल्यूएशन के 2 लाख करोड़ क्यो और कैसे घट गए? ये सवाल कोई नही पूछ रहा है!! LIC के IPO के पहले से लिख रहा हूँ कि LIC को एक साज़िश के तहत बरबाद किया जाएगा..वही हो रहा है..(ये असल मे 2 लाख करोड़ की लूट है)

◆ अडानी/अंबानी की कंपनियां लाखो करोड़ का क़र्ज़ ले रही है, विश्व के सबसे बड़े अमीर बन रहे है..पर LIC तो भारत सरकार को लाखों करोड़ का कर्ज़ देती है, तो फिर LIC के भाव क्यो टूट रहे है?

Sept 28: Day 3 of my fast, day 945 of our chain.

शायद नहीं बिलकुल महत्व ना देते

असेम्बली हाल में बम फेंकने वाली घटना में भगत सिंह के साथ बटुकेश्वर दत्त भी शामिल थे

दोनों को एक साथ पकड़ा गया था

भगत सिंह को सांडर्स की हत्या वाले मामले में फांसी हुई

असेम्बली में बम वाले काण्ड में पन्द्रह साल जेल काटने के बाद भगत सिंह के साथी बटुकेश्वर दत्त सन 1945 में रिहा हुए

आजादी के बाद उन्हें एक सिगरेट कम्पनी में एजेंट की नौकरी करनी पड़ी

वे एम्स में एक गुमनाम मौत मरे

बेशक अगर भगत सिंह को फांसी ना होती तो यह समाज उनके साथ भी यही करता

आपको पूजा और इबादत के लिए एक नाम चाहिए

जिन्दा क्रांतिकारी आपको कचोटता है आपको टोकता है आपको गलत होने का अहसास कराता है

इसलिए आपका समाज जिन्दा क्रांतिकारियों को जेल में डाल देता है

नजर घुमाइए अपने चारों तरफ और देखिये आजाद भारत की जेलों में कौन लोग कैदी हैं ?

लोगों के हकों के लिए आवाज उठाने वाले क्रांतिकारी जेलों में हैं और गुंडे सत्ता पर बैठे हुए हैं

शर्म करो और भगत सिंह का नाम भी अपनी जुबान पर मत लाओ

तुम्हें देश समाज और इंसानियत नहीं अपनी जाति मजहब और ऊपर वाला प्यारा है

जिसके कारण आज इस देश के क्रांतिकारी जेलों में और गुंडे सत्ता पर हैं
