Sept 19: Day 1 of my fast, day 936 of our chain.

Today I am fasting in protest over the release of convicts who had committed heinous acts of gangrape of Bilkis Bano and murder of her 3 year old daughter and 7 other kin. I’m anguished at the silence of women of the ruling party over this heart wrenching issue.

On the eve of his “official” birthday, I dedicate a brief post to his bhakts. They have the distinction of rushing to be stupid and amoral out of a genuine FOMO otherwise.

Sept 17: Day 2 of my fast, day 934 of our chain.

Pictures speak louder than words:

One stands above and aloof, exuding an imperious air. The other seeks to be one with the people, to share their perspectives, to understand, empathize and support.

One is there to be seen, heard and admired. The other sees, listens and encourages.

One is a narcissistic megalomaniac who cares for no one but himself. The other thinks nothing of his personal sacrifices, meets inane abuse with introspection, humility and a smile, and embraces the most daunting problems as symptoms while focusing on the causes.

Sept 18: Day 3 of my fast, day 935 of our chain.

Today, I’m counting down the hours until my first post-fast meal. This is an especially hectic time at work for me again. Friday was a 14 hour workday, and I worked through about 5 hours yesterday. Today, I had dizzy spells, and had to force myself to slow down.

Things to remember when we discount the added effort needed to work under the shadow of hunger and deprivation. Reservations/quotas for the historically oppressed are not robbing the privileged of theirs, just making sure privilege is shared more equitably.

Just like an abundantly loved person tends to share the love more freely, no privileged person can object to sharing their privilege more widely. The problem only arises when your illusion of privilege is rooted in the oppression of another.

Let’s look around and think beyond ourselves for sharing our privileges, big and little, with those traditionally deprived of it on grounds of gender, race, caste, sexual orientation, and disability. It mostly starts with weaning ourselves of uncounscious biases to find more room for empathy.

आपको याद होगा कि मोदी राज में व्हाट्सएप यूनिवर्सिटी के छात्र गाहे बगाहे यह बताते आए हैं कि मोदीजी ने देश का सारा विदेशी कर्ज चुका दिया और कोई नया कर्ज भी नही लिया !…जबकि असलियत इसके ठीक विपरीत है सरकार की ही ओर से कुछ दिन पहले जारी किए गए आंकड़े बताते हैं कि 31 मार्च, 2022 तक भारत का विदेशी कर्ज 620.7 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर की नई ऊंचाईयों को छू गया है जो कि एक साल पहले मार्च 2021 के अंत में रहे 573.7 बिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के कर्ज से 8.2 प्रतिशत ज्यादा है

एक बड़ी बात आरबीआई की रिपोर्ट से यह भी निकल कर सामने आई है कि यह विदेशी ऋण देश के विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार से ज्यादा हो गया है.

उससे भी ज्यादा चिंताजनक तथ्य यह है कि भारत सरकार को इसी साल यानी 2022- 23 में 267 अरब डॉलर के विदेशी कर्ज का पुनर्भुगतान करना है, जो भारत के पास कुल विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार का करीब 40 प्रतिशत से ज्यादा है,

आप देख ही रहे हैं कि भारत का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार जिसकी मजबूती का बड़ा ढोल पीटा जाता था पिछले कुछ महीने से लगातार गिर रहा है साफ़ दिख रहा है कि ऐसे में भारत का विदेशी मुद्रा भंडार करीब करीब आधा खाली हो जाएगा।

ये है देश की अर्थव्यवस्था की असलियत

रेलवे के जमीनें ठिकाने लगाने का खेल शूरू हो गया है मितरों …….
कल केंदीय मंत्री अनुराग ठाकुर ने बताया कि कैबिनेट बैठक में निर्णय लिया गया है कि रेलवे की भूमि को पीएम गति शक्ति कार्यक्रम के तहत 35 साल की लंबी अवधि के लिए लीज पर जायेगा जाएगा। ……. आपको जानकारी नहीं होगी कि सेना के बाद देश में रेलवे के पास ही सबसे अधिक संपत्ति है रेल मंत्रालय के मुताबिक, 31 मार्च 2021 तक देशभर में रेलवे के पास 4.84 लाख हेक्टेयर जमीन है

अब रेलवे की भूमि को पीएम गति शक्ति कार्यक्रम के तहत 35 साल की लीज पर दिया जाएगा। जबकि, वर्तमान में यह अवधि मात्र पांच साल थी पहले सिर्फ केंद्र सरकार, राज्य सरकार या पीएसयू को ही 35 साल के लिए जमीन लीज पर मिलती थी लेकिन अब निजी क्षेत्र को भी पैंतीस साल की लीज पर जमीन मिल सकेगी…..

इसके साथ ही रेलवे की जमीन के लैंड लाइसेंस फीस को 6 फीसदी से घटाकर 1.5 फीसदी किया गया है, ताकि अडानी जी को ज्यादा पैसे न खर्चने पड़े इसी के साथ रेलवे की जमीन पर सोलर प्लांट लगाने की अनुमति दी जा रही हैजैसा कि आप जानते ही हैं कि अडानी ही रिन्यूएबल एनर्जी क्षेत्र में सबसे बड़े खिलाड़ी है तो यहां भी वो मोटा माल छापेंगे

इसके अलावा रेलवे की जमीन पर पब्लिक-प्राइवेट पार्टनरशिप (PPP) के जरिए अस्पताल और स्कूल भी बनाने का रास्ता साफ़ कर दिया गया है

साफ़ दिख रहा है कि इस पॉलिसी के तहत निजी क्षेत्र को रेलवे की जमीन पट्टे पर मिलने के द्वार खोल दिए गए है

“कल्लू ने बाप-दादा की ज़मीन बेंचकर कार खरीद ली।अब कल्लू गाँव-गाँव घूमकर कह रहे हैं कि, बाप-दादा ने जो 70 साल में नहीं किया वह मैंने एक झटके में कर दिखाया”😢😢

Sept 10: Day 3 of my fast, day 927 of our chain.

सरकार हर नागरिक का बैंक खाता खुलवाने का कार्यक्रम चला रही है
इसमें सरकार का क्या फायदा है?

आप किसी वस्तु या सेवा का उत्पादन करते हैं
उस उत्पादन को आप बाज़ार में बेच देते हैं
उससे आपको क्रय शक्ति मिलती है

आप गेहूं उगाते हैं
या आप साईकिल बनाते हैं या आप
आफिस में काम करते हैं

आपको जो पैसा मिलता है
उससे आप कुछ भी खरीद सकते हैं

इस तरह आप अपना उत्पादन बेच रहे हैं
बदले में आपको क्रय शक्ति मिलती है

आपको अपने काम के बदले
उपभोग करने की आपकी क्षमता से ज़्यादा क्रय शक्ति मिल जाती है

जैसे आप महीने में पांच हज़ार खर्च करते हैं ,

लेकिन अगर आपकी तनख्वाह छह हज़ार हो तो

आपके पास एक हज़ार रुपया अतिरिक्त क्रय शक्ति जमा हो जायेगी

इस अतिरिक्त क्रय शक्ति पर

अमीरों की नज़र है

आप अपना बचाया हुआ एक हज़ार
बैंक में जमा करते हैं

अब बैंक आप जैसे करोड़ों लोगों के बचाए हुए पैसों को अमीरों को
क़र्ज़ पर दे देते हैं

अमीर उन पैसों से
उद्योग लगाने के लिए सरकार से ज़मीन
मांगते हैं

लेकिन ज़मीनों पर तो गाँव वाले , बस्ती वाले , आदिवासी रहते हैं

ये अमीर लोग सरकार के मुख्यमंत्रियों और प्रधानमंत्रियों को
रिश्वत देते हैं

ये सरकार में बैठे मुख्य मंत्री और प्रधान मंत्री
पुलिस और अर्ध सैनिक बल के सिपाहियों को
गरीबों .बस्ती वालों , आदिवासियों को
उनकी ज़मीनों से निकाल कर बाहर भगाने के लिए भेज देते हैं

ये सिपाही जाकर गरीबों को बंदूक और डंडे के दम पर
उन्ही की ज़मीनों से बाहर खदेड़ते हैं

आपका पैसा अमीरों के लिए
और गरीबों के खिलाफ़ काम आता है

यही पूंजीवाद है

बैंक को कोई हक नहीं है कि वह आपकी अतिरिक्त
क्रय शक्ति को
किसी चालाक व्यक्ति को
आपसे बिना पूछे दे दे

लेकिन
पूंजीपति
सरकार
और बैंक
एक ही हैं

इस तरह अमीर
आपकी मेहनत से अमीर बनते हैं
अपनी मेहनत से नहीं

किसी भी चालक आदमी के लिए
अमीर बनने के लिए सरकार
ज़रूरी है

इस तरह आपने देखा कि
आपकी अतिरिक्त
क्रय शक्ति से
किस तरह
चंद मुट्ठी भर लोगों को अमीर बनाया जाता है
और करोड़ों लोगों को उनकी ज़मीनों से उजाड कर ज़बरदस्ती
गरीब बनाया जाता है

अगली बार हम सरकार
और अमीरी के संबंध को और अच्छे से समझेंगे
हम ये भी समझेंगे कि
सरकार द्वारा मेहनती लोग किस तरह से गरीब बनाए जाते हैं
